Better Local Dealz Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
Introduction
Better Local Dealz (the “Site”), which is operated by Clix Digital Marketing, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how Better Local Dealz (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your personal information when you use our website (www.BetterLocalDealz.com) and any related services (including our sub-site www.BLDealz.com). We do not sell or share your information with outside companies for their own use, and we implement strict policies to ensure your data remains confidential. By using our Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
Information We Collect
We collect several types of information from and about users of our Site:
-
Personal Information: When you interact with our Site (for example, by filling out forms, creating an account, or contacting us), you may provide personal identifiers such as your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, business name, or other contact details. This also includes any information you submit through inquiries or correspondence. We collect this information only when you voluntarily provide it to us for purposes like registering for services, requesting information, or signing up for newsletters.
-
Payment and Financial Information: If you make a purchase or transaction through our Site or its related services (for example, buying advertising packages via BLDealz.com), we or our third-party payment processor collect billing and payment information. This may include your credit card number, debit card number, expiration date, CVV, billing address, and other financial details necessary to process your payment. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers; payment information is securely transmitted to and processed by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe) in compliance with industry standards (PCI-DSS). We use this information only to complete your purchase and for record-keeping of transactions.
-
Usage Data and Automatically Collected Information: Like most websites, we automatically collect certain information about your device and how you use our Site. This may include your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, the pages or content you view, the dates/times of your visits, and the website that referred you to our Site. We collect this data through cookies, web beacons, log files, scripts, and similar tracking technologies. This information helps us analyze trends, administer and secure the Site, and understand user behavior to improve our services. (See Cookies and Tracking Technologies below for more details.)
-
Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies (small text files placed on your device) and similar technologies to remember your preferences and recognize you on future visits. For example, cookies enable certain features, like keeping you logged in or remembering items in a shopping cart, and they help us understand how users interact with our Site. We may also use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) that set their own cookies or tracking technologies to collect usage information on our behalf. You have choices regarding cookies, as described in Cookies and Tracking Technologies below.
We will only collect personal information that is adequate, relevant, and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which it is processed. If you choose not to provide certain personal information, you may not be able to access certain features of the Site or we may not be able to fulfill your request.
How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:
-
Providing and Improving Services: To operate the Site and provide you with the products or services you request. For example, we use your information to process orders, facilitate payments, deliver advertising services or deal listings, and to personalize your experience on our Site. We also use data to maintain and improve the content, functionality, and security of our Site and services.
-
Communication: To communicate with you about your account, transactions, or customer service requests. For instance, we may send you confirmations, invoices, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages. We also respond to your inquiries, questions, and feedback using your contact information.
-
Marketing and Promotions: To send you news, special offers, newsletters, or other information we think may be of interest to you, only if you have opted in to receive such communications. We may use your email or other contact details to send promotional messages about our services or new features, but you can opt out of these communications at any time (see Your Rights and Choices below). We will not spam you, and all marketing communications will include an easy way to unsubscribe or opt out.
-
Analytics and Personalization: To analyze usage and trends in order to understand how users interact with our Site. This helps us improve our offerings and user experience, such as by tracking which pages are popular or finding out where users encounter errors. We may use analytics tools to personalize content and recommendations on our Site based on your interests and past activities.
-
Legal Compliance and Security: To enforce our terms and policies, prevent fraud or other prohibited activities, and address legal and security issues. For example, we may use your information to verify user identities, investigate suspicious activity, or conduct risk management. We also process personal data as necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests (such as responding to subpoenas or court orders).
-
Other Purposes with Consent: If we intend to use your personal information for a purpose that is materially different from those listed above, or that was not disclosed to you at the time of collection, we will seek your consent as required by law. We will not use your data in new ways without informing you and obtaining any necessary consent.
We strictly do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. All uses of your information are limited to the purposes described above and are conducted in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to distinguish you from other users and to collect information about your browsing activities. This helps us provide you with a good experience when you browse our Site and also allows us to improve our website. The cookies we use may include:
-
Essential Cookies: These are necessary for the Site to function properly and enable core features such as security, network management, and accessibility. For example, they may keep you logged in during your visit or facilitate the checkout process. You cannot opt out of essential cookies because without them, the Site may not work correctly.
-
Analytics and Performance Cookies: These cookies collect information about how visitors use our Site (for instance, which pages are visited most often and if users get error messages from web pages). We use this information to improve how our Site works and understand user engagement. We may employ third-party analytics tools (like Google Analytics) that use their own cookies to track and report on aggregate Site traffic. For example, Google Analytics may use cookies to track your interactions with our Site and compile reports on Site activity. The data collected through analytics cookies is generally aggregated and does not directly identify individual users.
-
Functionality Cookies: These are used to recognize you when you return to our Site and to personalize content for you. For example, they might remember your preferences (such as your region or language) or auto-fill form information to save you time.
-
Advertising and Targeting Cookies: (Currently, we do not host third-party ads on our Site, but we include this for completeness.) These cookies would record your visit to our Site, the pages you have visited, and the links you have followed, in order to deliver advertisements relevant to your interests on other sites. They can also limit the number of times you see an ad and help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. If in the future we use advertising cookies or similar technologies, we will update our policy and obtain any necessary consents.
Your Choices: Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline some or all cookies or to alert you when cookies are being placed on your device. Please note that if you disable or refuse cookies, some parts of our Site may become inaccessible or not function properly. For example, you may not be able to complete a purchase or use some interactive features. For more information about cookies and how to manage them, refer to your browser’s help documentation. Some analytics providers (like Google) also offer their own opt-out mechanisms (such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on). Additionally, certain browsers and plugins allow you to signal a "Do Not Track" (DNT) preference. However, please be aware that our Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, and we will process data as described in this policy whether or not a DNT signal is received.
Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We understand the importance of keeping your personal information private. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to unaffiliated third parties for their own commercial use. We only share your information in the following circumstances, and always with appropriate safeguards and only to the extent necessary:
-
Service Providers and Vendors: We may share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf. This includes, for example, payment processors, web hosting providers, data storage services, email service providers, customer support tools, and analytics companies. These third parties are contractually obligated to keep your information confidential and use it only for the purpose of providing the specific services to us. For instance, when you make a purchase, your payment details are transmitted to our payment processor (such as Stripe) for processing; similarly, our website host may process data to display the Site to you. These partners are not permitted to use your personal data for their own purposes and must comply with privacy and security obligations consistent with this Policy.
-
Within Our Corporate Family (Affiliates): We may share your information with our parent company, subsidiaries, and affiliates (including Clix Digital Marketing) for internal business purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy. For example, information may be shared with Clix Digital Marketing (our parent company) for centralized customer support, administration, technical operations, or to offer you related services. All affiliated entities that receive your data will honor the commitments in this Policy.
-
Legal Compliance and Protection: We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (i) comply with a legal obligation, law enforcement request, or court order; (ii) protect and defend our rights or property, or the rights and safety of our users, our business, or others; (iii) investigate and help prevent security threats, fraud or other malicious activity; or (iv) enforce our Site’s Terms of Service or other agreements, or to collect any amounts owed to us. In all cases, we will only disclose the minimum information necessary and will do so in accordance with applicable laws.
-
Business Transfers: If Better Local Dealz or Clix Digital Marketing is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or reorganization, your personal information may be transferred to the successor or affiliate as part of that transaction. We will ensure any such successor is bound by terms protecting your personal data at least as much as this Policy, and we will provide notice on our Site before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
-
With Your Consent or At Your Direction: We may share your personal information with third parties if you request or direct us to do so. For example, if you enter a co-sponsored promotion or explicitly request that we share your details with a partner, we will do so with your consent. In such cases, we will make sure you understand what information will be shared and with whom, and we will respect your choices.
Other than the circumstances above, we will not disclose your personal information to any outside company or third party. In particular, we do not disclose personal data to third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes without your explicit consent. Any third-party with whom we share data as an agent or service provider is required to comply with strict privacy and security standards and is prohibited from further selling or using your information except as instructed by us.
Third-Party Links and Sites: Our Site may contain links to third-party websites, plug-ins, or services (for example, our pages may link to our profile on Instagram or other social media, or to partner sites). If you choose to click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. We strongly encourage you to review the privacy policy of every external site you visit, as this Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by Better Local Dealz and Clix Digital Marketing through our own services.
Data Security
We implement a variety of technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include, for example, encryption of sensitive financial information (such as using SSL/TLS protocols for data transmission), firewalls and access controls on our servers, and strict access controls limiting who within our organization can access personal data. We also employ physical security measures and staff training to protect against unauthorized access to facilities where personal information is stored.
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, please be aware that no method of transmitting information over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Although we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information with appropriate security technologies and procedures, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. No website, server, or database is completely immune from risks, and we want you to understand this inherent risk. You transmit data to us at your own risk, and we encourage you to take precautions to protect your personal data (such as using strong passwords and not sharing them).
In the event of a data breach or security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law. We also maintain a data breach response plan to handle such situations responsibly. Remember that you also play a part in protecting your information. If we have given you (or if you have chosen) account credentials or passwords for any part of our Site, you are responsible for keeping those confidential.
Data Retention
We will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, as outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. In practice, this means:
-
Operational Needs: We keep personal data for as long as you maintain an account with us or as long as necessary to provide you with services, fulfill transactions you have requested, or for the purposes we collected it (for example, to provide customer support, or to maintain records of your transactions for accounting purposes).
-
Legal and Compliance Needs: We may retain your information longer if required by applicable law or regulatory obligations, or for resolving disputes, enforcing our agreements, or as otherwise necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. For instance, we may retain certain transaction details for tax, audit, or financial reporting purposes for a period mandated by law.
When we no longer have a legitimate business need or legal reason to retain your personal information, we will either delete, anonymize, or aggregate it. If deletion is not immediately feasible (for example, because the data is stored in backup archives), we will securely store the information and isolate it from further use until deletion is possible.
Please note that we also take steps to not retain personal data longer than needed: we periodically review the data we hold and erase or anonymize data that is no longer required. By doing so, we uphold the principle of data minimization and reduce the risk associated with retaining data indefinitely.
SMS/Text Messaging and Telephone Communications
By providing your phone number to Better Local Dealz and/or Clix Digital Marketing, LLC (collectively referred to herein as "the Company"), you expressly consent to receive text messages (SMS), MMS, and/or phone calls from the Company, including those made using automated dialing systems or prerecorded messages, for purposes including but not limited to:
-
Account notifications
-
Service updates
-
Marketing promotions
-
Appointment or subscription reminders
-
Responses to customer inquiries
Consent to receive such messages is not a condition of purchase. Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier’s plan.
You may opt out at any time by replying “STOP” to any text message received from us or by contacting us directly via the methods outlined in the Contact Us section of this policy. You understand that opting out of receiving communications may impact your use of certain services.
The Company shall not be held liable for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier issues or technical malfunctions. You agree to keep your contact information current and accurate.
Your Rights and Choices
You have certain rights and choices regarding your personal information. We are committed to honoring your rights and enabling you to control your information, consistent with applicable law:
-
Access and Update Your Information: You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections of any inaccuracies. If you have an account with us, you can review and update some of your information by logging into your account profile. Additionally, you may contact us at any time to inquire about the information we have collected about you and to ask that we correct or update it. We will require you to verify your identity before fulfilling such requests to ensure that we do not disclose data to the wrong person.
-
Opt-Out of Marketing Communications: If at any time you decide that you no longer wish to receive promotional or marketing emails from us, you have the right to opt out. You can do this by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link or instructions provided in any marketing email we send you, or by contacting us directly with your request. Once we process your opt-out request, we will stop using your email address for marketing purposes. Please note that even if you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send you transactional or administrative emails (such as purchase confirmations, account notifications, or customer service communications) as those are not promotional. We respect your choice and will promptly remove you from marketing lists as requested.
-
Cookies Choices: As described above in Cookies and Tracking Technologies, you have options to manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. You may also be able to opt out of certain interest-based advertising cookies by using industry opt-out tools or browser extensions. Please be aware that disabling cookies might affect Site functionality for you.
-
“Do Not Sell/Share My Information”: Because we do not sell or share personal information with third parties for their own marketing, we do not currently provide a mechanism to request opt-out of sale beyond what is described in this Policy. If in the future our practices change such that your data would be sold or shared in a manner covered by privacy laws requiring an opt-out (such as California’s CCPA/CPRA), we will update this Policy and provide a clear way for you to exercise that right.
-
Withdrawal of Consent: In cases where we rely on your consent to process personal information (for example, if you explicitly consented to receive a newsletter or to a certain data use), you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. You can withdraw consent by contacting us with your request or, in the case of email marketing, by using the unsubscribe mechanism. Please note that withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, and it may affect our ability to provide certain services to you (we will advise you if so). For example, if you withdraw consent for us to hold your contact details, we will not be able to communicate with you regarding services you requested.
In addition to the general rights and choices above, users in certain jurisdictions have specific privacy rights. The scope of these rights and how to exercise them are detailed below.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) (which amends the CCPA). These rights are designed to give California consumers greater transparency and control over how businesses handle their personal informationoag.ca.gov. California privacy rights include:
-
Right to Know (Access): You have the right to request that we disclose the specific pieces and categories of personal information we have collected about you in the 12 months preceding your request, as well as information about our data practices. This includes the categories of personal information collected, the sources of that information, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it. Upon a verifiable request, we will provide this information to you, free of charge, in a readily usable format (to the extent required by law).
-
Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of the personal information we have collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions. Once we receive and confirm a verifiable consumer deletion request, we will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, unless an exception appliesoag.ca.gov. For example, we may retain data as required to complete a transaction you initiated, to detect security incidents or protect against illegal activity, to exercise free speech or other legal rights, to comply with a legal obligation, or other purposes allowed by law. We will inform you of any denial of deletion and the reason (e.g., the data is exempt because we need it for a lawful purpose).
-
Right to Correct: California residents have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate personal information we maintain about youoag.ca.gov. If you believe that any information we have is incorrect or incomplete, please submit a verifiable request for correction. Upon verification, we will correct (and direct our processors/service providers to correct) your information as required, taking into account the nature of the information and purpose of processing.
-
Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: You have the right to direct us not to sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes (in other words, not to disclose your data to third parties for valuable consideration or targeted advertising)oag.ca.gov. However, as noted, we do not sell personal information in the conventional sense, and we do not share your data for targeted advertising outside of our own operations. If we ever engage in practices deemed a “sale” or “sharing” under California law, we will provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link or mechanism for you to opt out. In any case, you can always contact us to confirm that we do not sell your datatacodelmar.com. We also affirm that we do not knowingly sell the personal information of minors under 16 years of age without affirmative authorization, in accordance with California lawlegacysites.eji.org.
-
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: If we collect any information considered sensitive personal information under California law (such as precise geolocation, driver’s license, financial account login, etc.), you have the right to limit our use or disclosure of that sensitive information to only what is necessary to perform the services or provide the goods. In practice, we do not collect or use sensitive information for purposes beyond the necessary delivery of our services (for example, credit card details are used only to process payments). If we ever use sensitive information for additional purposes, California residents can request to opt-out or limit such useoag.ca.gov.
-
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rightsoag.ca.gov. This means that if you choose to exercise your privacy rights, we will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, provide a different level or quality of service, or suggest any such disadvantage, except to the extent permitted by law. The CCPA allows businesses to offer certain financial incentives for collection of personal data (e.g., loyalty programs), but if we ever do so, we will provide you with the material terms of such programs and your rights, and we will never do so in an unjust, discriminatory fashion.
Exercising California Rights: If you are a California resident and wish to exercise any of the rights described above, you (or your authorized agent) may submit a verifiable consumer request to us by contacting us via the methods listed in the Contact Us section below. Your request should state clearly which right you wish to exercise and provide sufficient information for us to verify your identity. Only you, or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable request related to your personal information. We will need to verify your identity (and authority, if applicable) to a reasonable degree of certainty before responding, which may involve matching information you provide in the request with information we have on file (we may ask for additional proof of identity if necessary).
We will acknowledge receipt of your request and respond within the timeframes required by law (generally within 45 days for CCPA requests, with an extension of an additional 45 days if reasonably necessary and with notice to you). We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will explain why and provide a cost estimate before completing your request. Any disclosures we provide will cover at most the 12-month period preceding the verifiable request’s receipt, as required by CCPA.
European and International Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom (UK), or other jurisdictions with similar data protection laws, you are entitled to additional rights and protections under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable local laws. We are committed to extending appropriate rights to users in these jurisdictions.
Legal Bases for Processing: We will only collect and process your personal data when we have a lawful basis to do so under GDPR. The legal bases we rely on include:
-
Consent: You have given clear consent for us to process your personal data for a specific purpose. For example, if you sign up for our newsletter, we process your email address based on your consent. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time (which will not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).
-
Contractual Necessity: We need to process your data to perform a contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. For instance, when you purchase a service or advertising package from us, we process your payment and contact information to fulfill that agreement.
-
Legal Obligation: Processing is necessary for us to comply with a legal obligation. For example, we may retain transaction records to comply with tax laws or disclose information if required by a court order.
-
Legitimate Interests: We process certain data as necessary for our (or a third party’s) legitimate interests, except where your privacy rights override those interests. For example, we have a legitimate interest in understanding how users use our Site so we can improve our services, and in securing our Site against fraud or cyberattacks. When we rely on legitimate interests, we will consider and balance any potential impact on your rights. (We do not use legitimate interest as a basis where your rights as a data subject take precedence, such as for some marketing where consent is required, or where sensitive data is involved without justification.)
In certain rare cases, we might also process data to protect someone’s vital interests (e.g., life or health) or for tasks in the public interest, but these bases are generally not applicable to our typical business operations.
Your GDPR Data Subject Rights: If you are in the EEA, UK, or certain other jurisdictions, you have the following rights regarding your personal data under GDPR (and equivalent local laws). These rights are not absolute and may be subject to certain conditions or exemptions under the law, but we will facilitate the exercise of these rights to the fullest extent required:
-
Right of Access: You have the right to request confirmation of whether we are processing your personal data, and if so, to obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you, as well as supplemental information about how we process it. This is often known as a "Data Subject Access Request." We will provide you with a copy of your data in a commonly used electronic format, unless you request otherwise.
-
Right to Rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you. Upon your request and verification of your identity, we will promptly update any incomplete or inaccurate information to ensure it is correct and up-to-date.
-
Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You have the right to request that we delete your personal data, provided certain conditions are met. This right is not absolute – for example, it does not apply if processing is necessary to exercise the right of freedom of expression and information, to comply with a legal obligation, for certain public interest reasons, or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. However, within the bounds of the law, if you request deletion of your data and no exception applies, we will erase your personal information from our records and instruct any service providers to do the same.
-
Right to Restrict Processing: You have the right to request that we limit the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances. This might apply, for instance, if you contest the accuracy of your data (for a period enabling us to verify it), or if the processing is unlawful and you oppose deletion and request restriction instead, or if we no longer need the data but you need it for legal claims, or if you have objected to processing (pending verification of overriding grounds). When processing is restricted, we will store your data but not use it (except, for example, to establish legal claims or with your consent) until the restriction is lifted.
-
Right to Object: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data in certain situations. Specifically, you can object to processing based on our legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposeslegacysites.eji.org. If you object to direct marketing, we will honor that unconditionally – we will stop using your data for marketing. If you object to processing based on legitimate interests, we will evaluate whether our interests in processing your data are compelling enough to override your rights, or if processing is necessary for legal claims; if not, we will cease the processing in question.
-
Right to Data Portability: Where we process your personal data by automated means based on your consent or on a contract with you, you have the right to request a copy of that data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and you have the right to transmit that data to another controller (or have us transfer it, where technically feasible). This right facilitates the transfer of your personal data to you or another service provider. It applies only to information you have provided to us.
-
Right to Withdraw Consent: If we rely on consent for any processing of your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any timelegacysites.eji.org. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. If you withdraw consent, we will stop the processing that was based on consent (for example, if you withdraw consent for marketing emails, we will stop sending them). In some cases, we may continue to process your data after consent is withdrawn if another legal basis applies (such as keeping transaction records if needed for legal obligations), but we will let you know.
-
Right to Complaint: If you believe that our processing of your personal data violates your rights or applicable data protection laws, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory Data Protection Authority (DPA) in your country of residence, place of work, or where the alleged infringement occurred. For example, if you are in the EU, you can contact your country’s DPA; if you are in the UK, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns directly before you do this, so we encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
Exercising International Rights: To exercise any of your rights as an EEA/UK (or similar jurisdiction) data subject, please contact us using the information in the Contact Us section. We may need to ask you to verify your identity and specify your request before we can fulfill it, just as with California requests. We will respond to your inquiry without undue delay, and in any event within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests – we will notify you if an extension is needed). We will not normally charge a fee for fulfilling valid requests, except in cases of excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded requests, in which case we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act (as permitted by law).
We will endeavor to honor your requests to the fullest extent required by law. If we cannot fulfill a request in whole or in part, we will provide you with an explanation, subject to legal restrictions. For example, if you request deletion but we are required to keep certain data for legal compliance, we will inform you of that.
Children’s Privacy
Our Site and services are not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years old (or under 16 years old in certain jurisdictions where an older age is required for parental consent). If you are under 13, please do not use or provide any information on this Site or on/through any of its features, and do not register on the Site, make purchases, or send any information about yourself to us. We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children.
In the event that we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our records or otherwise comply with applicable law. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we might have any information from or about a minor child, please contact us so that we can investigate and address the issue promptly.
Parents are encouraged to supervise their children’s online activities and to consider using parental control tools available from online services and software manufacturers to help provide a child-friendly online environment. These tools can also prevent children from disclosing their name, address, and other personal information online without parental permission. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to instruct their children to never provide personal information to any website without permission.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update or revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, but will do so in compliance with applicable law. When we make changes, we will post the updated Privacy Policy on this page with a new “Effective Date.” We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed about our data practices.
If the changes are significant, we may also notify you through additional means, such as by prominently posting a notice on our Site’s homepage or by sending you a notification (if you have provided us with contact information). Any changes will be effective when posted unless indicated otherwise.
Your continued use of the Site or our services after we make changes to this Privacy Policy will signify your acceptance of those changes, to the fullest extent permitted by law. If you do not agree with any updates or modifications, you should stop using the Site and services and notify us that you wish to deactivate any account you have with us.
